For A.M.F. and A.M.M.
Greater
(A poem, a prayer, a profession)
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.
Greater is He that is in me than the foolishness of this world.
Greater is He that is in me than the discombobulation of this nation.
Greater is He that is in me than the instability of this economy.
Greater is He that is in me than the disorganization of this organization.
Greater is He that is in me than the vultures of these cultures.
Greater is He that is in me than your expectations of where I should be.
Greater is He that is in me than your ideas of what I should be
What I should have
What I should do.
Greater is He that is in me than the confusion and chaos looming around me.
Greater is He that is in me than the voices of despair.
Greater is He that is in me than the tears that I shed.
Greater is He that is in me than the sorrow and pain.
Greater is He that is in me than the disappointments of my past.
Greater is He that is in me than my problems and my scars.
Greater is He that is in me than the ones who forsook me.
Greater is He that is in me than the ones who didn’t choose me
Because I am chosen by He who is greater
Greater in love
Greater in faith
Greater in patience
Greater in hope
Greater in trust
Greater in joy
Greater in peace
And greater in beauty.
Greater is He that is in me than my own dreams
My own hopes
My own imagination
My own fears
My own doubts
My own mistakes
My own failures.
Greater is He that is in me
Who is able to produce greatness
Resurrect greatness
Restore greatness
Unleash greatness
Enlarge greatly
Greatly avenge
Greatly deliver
Greatly heal
Greatly redeem
Greatly restore
Greatly exceed your expectations
Greatly enhance my wildest dreams
Greatly silence the doubters and rumors
Greatly quiet and dispel my worries
And bring about greater miracles
Greater joys
Greater realities
Greater breakthroughs
And greater victories.
For the greatness of Yahweh is greater than the “greatness” of the world.
So, I live for His greatness.
I rest in His great and mighty power
I trust in His great name.
I expect and receive His greatness
Because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.
Heartfelt and powerful. Self Confessions like these truly build up the inner man. We need more of this. There are mysteries in confessing Gods words like this and thats what I love about God. All we have to do is trust us and he will take care of us and give us the victory. Faith Reveals some of the mystery behind our great and loving God. Despite this world we can manuever through it successfully by trusting in him, his son, and his word. This post is very encouraging and reveals the passion you must display when trusting God in every aspect of your life.
